Job summary

Montefiore is seeking a qualified perfusionist to support cardiopulmonary bypass procedures. You will assess patient care, plan and implement perfusion strategies before, during, and after surgery, and operate the heart-lung machine in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Requires NYS perfusion certification, a perfusion technology degree, and BLS. This is a full-time, on-site role with standard day shift, based in New York.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in perfusion technology or NYS perfusion program.
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement patient care for bypass surgery.
• Set up and operate the heart-lung machine.
• Consult with physicians and select equipment.
• Perform related duties as required.
