Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center seeks a certified perfusionist to support cardiopulmonary bypass procedures. You will prepare and assist with intraoperative perfusion, ensuring patient safety and optimal circuit performance.

Responsibilities include setting up the heart-lung machine, collaborating with surgeons and physicians, and performing related duties as required. NYS perfusion degree or certificate, ABCP, and BLS are required. Shift 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• ABCP certification required, eligible for certification if not yet certified.
• BLS certification is required.
• Degree in perfusion technology or NYS certificate program.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement patient care for CPB before, during and after surgery.
• Set up and operate the heart/lung machine.
• Consult with physicians and select appropriate equipment.
• Perform related duties as required.
