Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NYS college with an Associate or Bachelor's Degree with a major in perfusion technology required.
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion is required.
• BLS is required.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, assess, plan and implement the patient care requirements and treatment necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance before, during and after surgery.
• Sets up and operates the heart/lung machine.
• Consults with Physicians and selects appropriate equipment.
