Job summary

Bernalillo County is seeking a Certified Peer Support Worker in Behavioral Health. The CPSW will assist peers through a helping relationship, promote respect and empowerment, and provide case management to support recovery and resilience.

The role includes coordinating with community resources, transporting clients to appointments, documenting case work, and maintaining confidentiality within a team environment. A valid NM Peer Support Certification is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field is required.
• Three (3) years of experience working in Behavioral Health environment.
• New Mexico Certification as a Peer Support worker is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains information about clients to determine severity of substance misuse or mental health problems.
• Provides case management services for assigned clients.
• Assists clients in meeting goals in their Individual Service Plan.
• Supports clients in directing their own recovery and advocacy processes.
• Promotes coping skills and community living skills for clients.
