Job summary

Nava Behavioral Health seeks a Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) to provide recovery-oriented support within our Las Cruces, NM program. This full-time, non-exempt role focuses on empowering clients in early recovery through peer support and collaborative care coordination.

You will work onsite, engage in group and individual sessions, assist with community referrals, and document progress while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Current New Mexico CPSW certification in good standing.
• Must meet all New Mexico peer support credential requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year of sustained personal recovery.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check and meet agency compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group peer support services.
• Assist clients with identifying recovery goals and action steps.
• Support development of coping skills and healthy routines.
• Encourage participation in treatment and recovery activities.
• Model healthy boundaries and recovery behaviors.
• Assist clients with navigating community resources and referrals.
• Advocate for client needs within scope of role.
• Co-facilitate recovery groups and support IOP programming.
• Maintain attendance tracking and engagement documentation.
• Monitor client participation and report concerns to clinical team.
• Complete timely progress notes and ensure HIPAA compliance.
