Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC seeks a Behavioral Health Certified Peer Support Specialist to deliver community-based recovery support for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. You will promote self-determination, provide coping strategies, and act as a recovery role model within the team and with clients.

The role emphasizes individualized, strength-based interventions and collaboration to help clients regain control of their recovery in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be a PA Certified Peer Support Specialist.
• 1 year experience with behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Modeling effective coping and self-help techniques to individuals.
• Providing empowerment skills and support in successful recovery living.
• Assisting individuals in finding resources and encouraging follow-through with proposed resolutions.
• Leading peer support groups with individuals served.
• Supporting daily decision making and resolution of minor problems.
• Facilitating social opportunities in the community.
• Fostering development of healthy relationships by encouraging participation in community activities.
• Sharing personal story of recovery and resilience to instill hope.
