Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC in Marion, North Carolina is hiring a full-time Employment Peer Mentor to support people with mental health and substance use challenges in the community. You will act as a peer mentor, provide recovery-oriented coaching, and lead groups while promoting self-determination and empowerment.

The position requires a NC or PA Certified Peer Support Specialist and offers a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00–17:00 with competitive hourly pay of $17–$19.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Support Specialist in NC or PA.
• 1 year experience with behavioral health preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Model coping and self-help techniques for individuals.
• Provide empowerment and support in recovery living.
• Assist individuals in finding resources and following through with plans.
• Lead peer support groups with individuals served.
• Support daily decision making and resolution of minor problems.
• Facilitate social opportunities in the community.
• Encourage healthy relationships through community participation.
• Share personal recovery story to instill hope.
