Job summary

Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems is seeking a full-time Peer Support Specialist in Exton, PA. The role emphasizes using lived experience to support individuals, provide practical guidance, and help clients work toward recovery goals within a collaborative care framework.

You will build trusting relationships, coordinate with clinicians, and connect clients to community resources, while enjoying comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree with at least 1 year of experience in a human services‑related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Certified Peer Specialist Training

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support using lived experience to help others feel understood.
• Offer practical guidance on coping strategies and navigating services.
• Support recovery goals and help clients set and pursue goals.
• Build trusting, nonjudgmental relationships and encourage self-advocacy.
• Collaborate with clinicians and community providers to coordinate care.
• Help reduce isolation by connecting people to groups and resources.

Pay Rate: $18.00+/hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

• Offers practical guidance (e.g., coping strategies, navigating services, building routines) based on what has worked for them personally.
• Supports recovery goals by helping people set and work toward goals like stability, wellness, employment/education, or community connection.
• Builds trusting, nonjudgmental relationships and encourages self-advocacy and independence.
• Works alongside clinicians and community providers (when applicable) to share insights and promote coordinated, person-centered care.
• Helps reduce isolation by connecting people to groups, resources, and community activities.

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree with at least 1 year of experience in a human services‑related field
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Required Clearances & Qualifications

• Certified Peer Specialist Training
• Peer Specialist Certification (Required)
• PA Criminal Clearance
• PA Child Abuse Clearance (if applicable)
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance
• Valid Driver’s License
• Not listed on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion lists
