Job summary

Holcomb Behavioral Health System in Exton, PA is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our Community-Based Services team. The role focuses on peer support, practical guidance, and helping clients achieve stability, wellness, and community connection.

Full-time, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm,Monday through Friday, with mileage reimbursement for travel and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate's Degree with at least 1 year of experience in a human services‑related field.
• Certified Peer Specialist Training.
• Peer Specialist Certification (Required).
• PA Criminal Clearance.
• PA Child Abuse Clearance (if applicable).
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Not listed on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion lists.

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support using lived experience to help others feel understood, hopeful, and less alone.
• Offers practical guidance (e.g., coping strategies, navigating services, building routines) based on personal experience.
• Supports recovery goals by helping people set and work toward stability, wellness, employment/education, or community connection.
• Builds trusting, nonjudgmental relationships and encourages self-advocacy and independence.
• Works alongside clinicians and community providers to share insights and promote coordinated, person-centered care.
• Helps reduce isolation by connecting people to groups, resources, and community activities.

Pay Rate: $18.00 /hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
