Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Certified Payroll Specialist with extensive knowledge of California prevailing wage laws and certified payroll reporting. This role supports accurate and timely payroll processing for public works projects and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations.

This is an urgent and high-priority position requiring immediate availability and expertise in certified payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in compliance with California Labor Code Section 1776 and prevailing wage requirements.
• Process weekly payroll for employees assigned to public works/prevailing wage projects.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act and DIR reporting standards.
• Maintain accurate payroll documentation and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support audit readiness and resolve discrepancies as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance, particularly in California.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
• Strong understanding of public works regulations and certified payroll documentation.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Degree not required; relevant experience is essential.

Work Environment

• Hybrid Schedule: Onsite in Anaheim, CA (Mondays & Wednesdays); remote the other days.
• Immediate start preferred.
