Job summary

PPC Partners External is seeking a detail-oriented Prevailing Wage Specialist to ensure compliance with Davis-Bacon Act requirements and certified payroll submissions. You will work with project managers and payroll colleagues to prepare reports, track apprenticeship ratios, and maintain rate agreements.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, strong communication with field staff, and staying current on federal, state, and local wage laws. Office-based with routine collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent required.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Understanding of Davis-Bacon Act/prevailing wage/certified payroll/compliance requirements preferred.
• Must communicate professionally with field staff, office staff, managers and outside vendors/customers.
• Strong safety attitude and personal integrity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced typing for data entry.
• Experience with ADP and IFS preferred.
• Confidential handling of sensitive information is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work to ensure follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Perform, compile, complete documents for submission to agencies.
• Process certified payroll reports weekly and submit to contractors/owners.
• Enter certified reports and compliance information into online portals.
• Ensure compliance with DOL prevailing wage requirements; educate project personnel as needed.
• Review contracts for compliance requirements and track apprenticeship ratios.
• Create and maintain rate agreements for prevailing wage projects.
• Assist with union audits and stay current with union contracts.
• Assist payroll team with rate updates and corrections as needed.
