MP Nexlevel, LLC in Annandale, MN is seeking a Payroll Specialist to administer and maintain the electronic timekeeping system, enter data, reconcile payroll, and ensure timely processing for MP companies. This in-person role offers potential remote/hybrid scheduling after 90 days.

The ideal candidate has an accounting/finance degree (or equivalent) and robust Excel skills with multi-state payroll experience.

Qualifikationen

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent accounting/payroll experience.
• Experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment, multi-state construction payroll preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
• Familiarity with tax reciprocity rules and regulations.
• Ability to validate hours against wage determinations, classifications and rate schedules.
• Garnishment setup experience.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, detail orientation and organization.

Aufgaben

• Administer and maintain electronic timekeeping systems.
• Enter data into payroll and administrative databases and software.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.
• Process payroll for MP companies in a timely manner.
• Process manual checks or ACHs when needed.
• Generate and report certified payrolls for prevailing wage jobs.
• Report monthly hours and wages and payments to unions.
• Submit certified payroll reports across multiple states weekly.
• Monitor and audit subcontractor payroll reports.
• Enter payroll taxes, 401(k), direct deposits and garnishments.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger payroll transactions.
• Assist in audit responses and year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c).
• Other duties as assigned.
