Job summary

MP NEXLEVEL LLC in Annandale, MN is seeking a Payroll Administrator to administer and maintain the electronic timekeeping system, enter data into payroll databases, reconcile payroll, and ensure timely processing for MP companies.

This in-person role offers a pay scale of $30-$35 per hour, with a possible remote/hybrid arrangement after 90 days. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, education assistance, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
• Experience in payroll in a fast-paced, multi-state construction environment.
• Knowledge of accounting practices and tax reciprocity rules.
• Advanced Excel proficiency with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the electronic timekeeping system.
• Enter data into payroll and administrative databases and software.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.
• Process payroll for MP companies in a timely manner.
• Process manual checks or ACHs when necessary.
• Generate and report certified payrolls for prevailing wage jobs.
• Submit monthly hours and wages to unions and across states.
• Monitor and audit subcontractor certified payroll reports.
• Determine payroll liabilities including taxes, 401K, garnishments.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies with internal/external customers.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist in audit responses and year-end reporting (W-2, W-2C).
