Job summary

Tanna Orthodontics is seeking a certified assistant who is warm, reliable, and outgoing to join our team. You will work with kids, teens, parents, and our community, assisting doctors and managing chairside tasks.

The role includes post-chair activities, event planning, and community outreach. Experience in orthodontics is a plus; bilingual candidates are welcome. New grads are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold one of OA permit, RDA license, or dental assisting certificate.
• X-ray certificate and CPR/BLS required.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work some events outside office hours.
• Comfortable with social media and basic photo editing on a phone.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors to ensure visits run smoothly and on time.
• Help with braces and aligner appointments.
• Take digital scans and records correctly.
• Maintain clean rooms following sterilization protocols.
• Explain procedures in plain, friendly language.

What you’ll do in the chair

• Assist Dr. Tanna and Dr. Patel, so every visit runs smoothly and on time
• Help with braces and aligner appointments
• Take digital scans and records right the first time
• Keep every room clean and ready, following our sterilization and infection-control protocols
• Explain what’s happening in plain, friendly language

Beyond the chair

• Post to our social channels and celebrate patient milestones, with written permission first [CHECK THIS: platforms and posts per week]
• Help plan and run community events, like school and sports sponsorships [CHECK THIS: events per quarter]
• Build friendly relationships with schools, coaches, and local businesses

What you’ll need

• One of the following:
  • Orthodontic Assistant (OA) permit
• • Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
• • Dental assisting certificate (minimum)
• x-ray certificate, CPR/BLS
• Dependable attendance
• Comfortable with social media and basic photo editing on a phone
• Able to work some events outside office hours

Nice to have

• Orthodontic experience
• Canva or similar design tools
• Bilingual in English, Spanish and/or Mandarin
