Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Certified Operating Room Tech to support surgical teams in a fast-paced environment.

You will prepare sterile supplies, maintain the sterile field during cases, and pass instruments to the surgeon. Requirements include a HS diploma, ORT training or equivalent, CST certification, and BLS (AHA). Part-time, day shift, with competitive benefits and a focus on patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures and in general/specialty areas (GYN, General, Plastics, ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics).5. Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.).6. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
