Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking an Operating Room Technician for full-time day shifts (11:00 AM–7:30 PM). You will prepare sterile supplies, maintain sterile technique during procedures, and assist the surgeon with instruments and supplies throughout cases.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an ORT program or equivalent training with at least 3 years in a surgical setting; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities
