Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking an OR/Surgical Tech-Certified to join the surgical services team. This full-time, day-shift role supports nursing care for surgical patients and requires active Surgical Technologist Certification and BLS.

Responsibilities include performing scrub duties, assisting with instrument maintenance, patient transport, and ensuring service excellence. UHS benefits apply, and the hospital emphasizes quality, safety and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year surgical technologist preferred
• Surgical Technologist Certification required
• Current AHA or ARC BLS

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties, assists in the maintenance of instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Assists in preparation, transportation and supervision of patients.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
