Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) to support our surgical teams. You will assemble supplies, prepare sterile tables, and assist in positioning patients while maintaining sterile techniques.

Qualified candidates will have a graduation from an approved surgical technologist program, CST certification (NCCT or NBSTSA), and BLS. Hospital OR experience is preferred; strong teamwork is essential in our 392-bed facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (NCCT or NBSTSA) is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Hospital-based OR tech experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Team player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Prepare sterile instrument tables for procedures.
• Assist in positioning patients and preparing skin for surgery.
• Maintain sterile technique and monitor for breaches.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
• Assist in monitoring patients during procedures and after.
• Gather equipment for cleaning and sterilization after procedures.
