Job summary

Lake Worth Surgery Center in Florida is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will prepare and maintain instruments, assist in sterile setup, and help position patients for surgery under physician and nurse supervision.

The role requires graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program and CPR certification with 0–2 years of clinical experience. Ortho & spine cases are common, with emphasis on patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions before operations.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures per hospital regulations.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and checks it for proper function.
• Gets patients ready for surgery and transports them to the operating room.
• Observes vital signs and assists the team with sterile gowning and gloving.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assists with counting supplies.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction machines and related equipment.
• After operations, helps transfer patients to recovery and restocks OR.
