Job summary

The Operating Room Scrub Technician at Inspira Health is a key member of the perioperative team, assisting the surgeon and RN to ensure safe, high-quality surgical care. You will prepare the operating room, keep the sterile field intact, and hand instruments and supplies during procedures.

The role requires CST and BLS certifications, strong communication, and the ability to anticipate needs across specialties while following hospital policies to protect patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed accredited surgical technology program.
• CST certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience as OR scrub technician preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile field.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and procedure needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and maintain the sterile field.
• Provide instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
• Assist with surgical counts, specimen handling, patient positioning, prepping and draping.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and regulatory standards to support patient safety.
