Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of directly related ophthalmology/optometry experience or completion of an accredited Ophthalmic Technician program.
• Certification as Ophthalmic Assistant (JCAHPO) required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary ophthalmic examinations and diagnostic testing.
• Assist providers with patient evaluation and testing in a fast-paced clinic.
• Document patient information, testing results, and clinical findings in the EMR.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Support instrument processing, sterilization workflows, and infection prevention standards.
• Assist with scheduling and clerical responsibilities.
