Work Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Description

The specialized surgical technologist is responsible for gathering and preparing instruments and equipment for complex surgical procedures, including robotic surgeries. The role emphasizes maintaining quality and safety guided by principles of surgical asepsis, anticipating the surgeon's needs, and adapting to changing conditions during procedures. The technologist must be flexible, well-organized, and capable of working under pressure, with knowledge and skills related to robotic procedures and patient condition management.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification in a specialty area is required or demonstrated knowledge and experience in specialty surgeries such as robotics or joint replacements.
• Current BLS certification, with ongoing renewal to maintain employment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, sometimes wearing a 10 lb. x-ray apron, and lift/move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs., push/pull 125 lbs.).
• Good communication and written skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations, adapt to schedule and patient condition changes, with good time management and self-direction skills.
