Location: 101 Truman Medical Center, University Health Truman Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri

Department: Float Pool IP UHTMC

Position Type: Part-time

Work Schedule: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Hours Per Week: 4

What You'll Do:
  • Provide top-tier care to patients in an acute care setting.
  • Show off your technical skills—training will be provided.
  • Collaborate with nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.

Perform your duties with pride, aligned with our standards and mission to provide excellent healthcare.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current BCLS certification; must be kept current for employment.
  • UAP training or demonstrate competency in required content areas, which may include:
    • Previous nursing or practical nursing licensure attempt within the last 3 years.
    • Current certification as a nursing assistant per Missouri regulations.
    • Documented education as an emergency medical technician, medical assistant, or surgical technician.
    • Documented experience as a nurse assistant or in a healthcare setting providing clinical care under supervision within the last 3 years.
    • Completed a nursing program outside the U.S. awaiting licensure exam.

Note: Staffing agency UAPs must meet position requirements. If criteria are not met, direct patient care in outpatient procedures is prohibited.
