Saint Luke’s North on Barry Road is seeking a Phlebotomist / Lab Support Technician to support our inpatient lab team. This role involves performing blood draws and processing specimens. Our lab is a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team with diverse backgrounds and experience levels, ensuring our vision of being “The best place to get care. The best place to give care.”

Status: PRN - Swing

Responsibilities

1. Collect patient samples in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
2. Document receipt of patient samples in the LIS/EMR; process and prepare samples for testing.
3. Perform and report basic laboratory testing, as needed.
4. Use education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection.
5. Communicate effectively with nursing and unit staff regarding patient collections.

Procedures may vary depending on hospital location.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a confident, patient-focused, positive professional who is willing to go above and beyond for patients and peers. Phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should enjoy multi-tasking, staying busy, and adapting to rapidly changing laboratory workflows.
