Recover-Care seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering occupational therapy treatments. You will help develop and implement treatment plans, document progress, and guide patients through home programs and adaptive equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current state licensure as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Proficiency with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to perform job.

Responsibilities

• Selects therapy activities to fit patients’ needs and capabilities, and records progress.
• Collaborates with other health care professionals involved in the care of a patient.
• Instructs patients and families in home programs and adaptive equipment; assists with treatment plans.
• Assesses daily living skills and aids patients in dressing and grooming.
• Assembles, cleans, and maintains equipment for patient use.
• Demonstrates therapy techniques such as manual and creative arts or games.
• Teaches patients how to manage emotions constructively.
• Attends care plan meetings to review patient progress and update plans.
