Job summary

Synchrony Rehab in Kokomo, IN seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide therapeutic interventions under an Occupational Therapist. You will help with exercises, ADL training, and patient education in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

Must hold an OTA license or certification and ideally CPR. 0–1 year experience preferred; degree from an accredited OTA program is required.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including exercises and ADL training.
• Help patients with exercises and adaptive techniques to improve function and independence.
• Observe and document patient responses and progress to share with supervising OT.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and adaptive strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
