Job summary

Synchrony is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Terre Haute, IN to provide therapeutic interventions under an Occupational Therapist. You will assist with exercises, ADL training, and other therapies as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Must hold a valid OTA license and CPR is preferred. Experience level ranges 0-1 year, with benefits including weekly pay and comprehensive insurance plans.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation of patients’ responses, progress, and report to supervising OT.
• Provide education to patients and families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and progress strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
