Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care and communicates with the evaluating therapist before proceeding.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based intervention plans and adjusts based on patient response.
• Documents daily notes and progress to support clinical decisions and payer communications.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Performs ROM measurements of the elbow, wrist, and hand and trains patients on ADLs including dressing and cooking skills.
• Performs therapeutic ultrasound and fluidotherapy treatments as part of OT interventions.
• Completes daily therapy EMR documentation and communicates patient progress with referring providers.
