Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to treat patients of all ages and support staff and students as a clinical resource.

The role involves following and adapting the plan of care, delivering patient-centered interventions, educating patients and families, and documenting progress clearly and accurately. Collaboration with the supervising therapist and multidisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) required.
• Licensed OTA in the relevant jurisdiction (IDFPR IL) and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Minimum 1+ years of work experience as an OTA or in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Follows and adapts the plan of care based on patient progress and communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based interventions and documents outcomes.
• Educates patients, families, and other health care providers; collaborates with the occupational therapist and care team.
• Maintains clear, accurate documentation to support clinical decisions and payer communications.
