Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver pediatric therapy in patients’ homes or daytime facilities. You will work under supervision, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and support individualized care plans to help patients reach their highest potential.

The role requires Texas licensure as a COTA, an Associates degree in Occupational Therapy, and at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience with pediatric populations; home

Qualifications

• Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current state of Texas licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• 6 months full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility.
• Schedules supervision visit(s) with supervising OT according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans for care to meet goals of the occupational therapy interventions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances occupational therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
