Minds Matter LLC is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support individuals with brain injuries in achieving independent living goals. You will work on evaluations, plan of care, and therapy aligned with each consumer’s goals, collaborating with the care team and families.

The role requires an OTA credential (associate degree) and a current license for KS or MO, with strong organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Qualificações

• Must have a current license in the state of Kansas or Missouri.
• Successful completion of an occupational therapy assistant program from an accredited associate degree program.
• Experience working with people with disabilities is appreciated.

Responsabilidades

• Learn and implement Minds Matter LLC principles.
• Assist individuals to identify their needs and develop compensatory techniques for brain injury consequences.
• Contribute to evaluations addressing physical and mental abilities and analyze data to determine therapies.
• Evaluate and recommend changes to the supervising OT in consumers’ work or living environments.
• Integrate employment, educational and independent living goals into therapy.
• Collaborate with consumers and other staff to determine goal progress.
• Attend team meetings and assist consumers in goal setting.
• Serve as team lead for updating goal plans and meeting histories.
• Provide services only as designated on each consumer’s plan of care or physician orders.
• Maintain daily notes that are goal-driven, concise, factual, and timely.
• Educate families about brain injury consequences and progress.
• Attend trainings to maintain current practice.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records per HIPAA.
