Job summary

Minds Matter LLC in Topeka, KS is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support clients with brain injury by addressing balance, motor, perceptual and cognitive skills through functional activities. You will collaborate with therapists, families and case managers, implement treatment plans, document progress, and participate in trainings to ensure up-to-date, evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited OTA program (associates).
• Licensed in Kansas as an OTA; Missouri license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and implement Minds Matter LLC principles.
• Assist consumers to identify needs and develop compensation strategies.
• Contribute to evaluations addressing physical and mental abilities.
• Evaluate and recommend changes to supervising therapist in work/living environments.
• Integrate goals into therapy and coordinate with case manager.
• Attend team meetings and assist in goal setting.
• Provide services per care plans and physician orders.
• Maintain documentation timely and legibly.
• Educate families about brain injury and progress.
• Attend trainings for current best practices.
• Schedule supervision and review cases with coordinators.
