Job summary

Minds Matter LLC seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support individuals recovering from brain injury, focusing on balance, motor skills, posture, and cognitive abilities in daily activities. You will work within evaluated goals and collaborate with therapists, families, and case managers to maximize independence.

The role requires a Kansas OTA license, strong Excel and communication skills, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. A Missouri license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Successfully complete an OTA program from an accredited associate degree program.
• Must be currently licensed in Kansas.
• Missouri license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers to identify needs and develop compensation techniques for brain injury.
• Contribute to evaluations addressing physical and mental abilities and analyze data.
• Maintain documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Educate families about brain injury and progress toward goals.
• Attend team meetings and assist in goal setting with consumer and case manager.
• Provide services only as designated on the plan of care and physician orders.
• Demonstrate professionalism and collaborate with staff and community agencies.
