Job summary

Aventura at West Park in Cincinnati, Ohio is hiring a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house SNF/LTC rehabilitation team. New grads are encouraged to apply as you gain hands-on experience in geriatric care.

You will provide skilled OT services under supervision, help residents regain independence in ADLs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Ohio COTA license or eligibility for Ohio licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an OT.
• Help residents improve independence with ADLs and functional activities.
• Work on strength, balance, mobility, safety and functional skills.
• Follow individualized plans of care and established therapy goals.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to supervising OT.
• Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing and other team members.

No two days in rehab are exactly the same! As a COTA, you'll work with residents to help them regain skills, maintain independence, and accomplish the everyday activities that matter most to them.

You'll:

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
• Help residents improve independence with ADLs and functional activities
• Work on strength, balance, coordination, mobility, safety, and functional skills
• Follow individualized plans of care and established therapy goals
• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising OT
• Complete accurate and timely documentation using Net Health
• Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Educate and encourage residents throughout their rehabilitation journey
• Help make therapy productive, positive, and engaging
• Maintain compliance with applicable professional, facility, state, and federal standards

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Ohio COTA license or eligibility for Ohio licensure
• New grads are encouraged to apply!
• SNF/LTC experience is a plus, but not required
• Net Health experience is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and a passion for helping others
• Someone ready to jump in, learn, contribute, and be part of a great rehab team
