Job summary

Aventura at West Park in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in SNF/LTC settings. New graduates are encouraged to apply and become part of a supportive, collaborative therapy team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Ohio COTA license or eligibility for Ohio licensure.
• New grads are encouraged to apply.
• SNF/LTC experience is a plus, but not required.
• Net Health experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
• Help residents improve independence with ADLs and functional activities.
• Work on strength, balance, coordination, mobility, safety, and functional skills.
• Follow individualized plans of care and established therapy goals.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising OT.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation using Net Health.
• Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate and encourage residents throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain compliance with applicable professional, facility, state, and federal standards.
