As a COTA, you will deliver occupational therapy services through evaluation of patient needs, goal setting, and development of treatment plans according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy.

• Perform direct occupational therapy services to patients in accordance with Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice, code of ethics, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Record patient data collected for re-evaluations and care provided in the medical record, following departmental documentation standards.
• Participate in performance improvement activities, suggest areas for improvement, and propose performance improvement topics and treatment techniques to enhance occupational therapy services.
• Resolve or report clinical and operational issues to department leadership to ensure high-quality care and departmental efficiency.
• Demonstrate interdisciplinary, safe, patient-centered care and deliver excellent customer service.
