Our 141-bed facility welcomes over 3,000 patients annually. As the state’s largest provider of inpatient rehabilitation services, we offer advanced therapies for stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic and sports injuries, among others.

As a COTA, you will deliver occupational therapy services through evaluation of patient needs, goal setting, and development of treatment plans according to occupational therapy principles and practices.

• Perform direct occupational therapy services to patients in accordance with Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice, code of ethics, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Record patient data for re-evaluations and care provided, following departmental documentation standards.
• Participate in performance improvement activities, suggest areas for improvement, and propose treatment techniques to enhance services.
• Resolve or report clinical and operational issues to department leadership to ensure high-quality care and efficient operations.
• Demonstrate interdisciplinary, safe, patient-centered care and deliver excellent customer service.

• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant in Maryland.
• Current ACLS or BCLS certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient in occupational therapy theory and practice, with general knowledge of orthopedics, plastics, pediatrics, neurology, psychology, psychiatry, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and general medicine.
• Ability to oversee and direct work of occupational therapy and support staff.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for working with patients, staff, and documenting progress.
