Job summary

Community LIFE is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/L) to provide in-home and in-center therapy for older adults in Somerset, PA. The role supports independence in ADL/IADL, ROM, and strength per a treatment plan from the OT/L.

This full-time daytime position (Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm) offers mileage reimbursement at the federal rate and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance, life and disability coverages, a 403(b) plan, tuition

Qualifications

• Successful OTA/L program completion approved by NBCOT.
• Minimum of one year working with the frail or elder population.
• Current PA OTA licensure and valid PA Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and in-center therapy for older adults.
• Follow treatment plans established by the OT/L to regain or maintain independence.
• Assist with ADL/IADL, ROM and strength activities; document progress.

Salary Range: $27.00 To $32.00 Hourly

Position Summary: Our COTA provides in-home and in-center therapy for older adults on an ongoing basis in an effort to help regain or maintain their abilities to remain independent with ADL’s and IADL’s, range of motion, strength and interventions established by a treatment plan from the OT/L. This is a Mon-Fri daylight (7:30am-4:00pm) position. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the federal rate.

Required Education: Successful OTA/L program completion approved by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Required Experience: Minimum of one year working with the frail or elder population.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Current OTA licensure issued by the state of PA.
• Valid PA Driver’s License
