Job description

Position: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility. This professional role primarily involves direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, with additional administrative duties as assigned.

You will:

1. Follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
2. Implement treatment plans as defined by the Occupational Therapist and perform procedures for which the COTA is qualified and trained.
3. Make recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

You currently:

• Possess an Associate’s Degree from an accredited program.
• Hold Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification/License.
• Demonstrate adaptability, compassion, attention to detail, friendliness, and courtesy.
• Have a moderate degree of physical strength to assist patients, including the ability to kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods, with or without accommodations.
