Job Overview

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) supports the Occupational Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans.

Responsibilities

1. Direct Patient Care: Provides treatment to patients as per the plan developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, maintaining productivity and effective time management.
2. Treatment Support: Implements intervention plans, assists with data collection during assessments, and executes resident screens.
3. Program Development: Participates in program development and shares best practices with the Rehab Team.
4. Monitoring: Observes residents' performance and reports changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
5. Documentation: Maintains accurate records of resident progress, interventions, and evaluations in EMRs like Net Health/PCC.
6. Education: Educates residents, families, and staff on safe techniques and exercises.
7. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborates with nursing and rehab staff, attending care plan meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be COTA certified.
