Job summary

AdventHealth in Riverview, Florida, is seeking a Night shift OB Tech for a full-time position. You will assist with delegated patient care tasks under RN/provider supervision and support patient intake, documentation, and equipment needs.

Qualifications include BLS and CST certification (or NCCT TS-C). Must be able to adapt to changing technology and participate in training and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• CST or equivalent required (NBSTSA CST or NCCT TS-C)

Responsibilities

• Assist with delegated patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and provider.
• Provide person-centered care with sensitivity and respect, collaborating with team members to achieve daily patient and family goals.
• Provide supplies or equipment upon request for the provider, nurses, and/or anesthesia provider.
• Respond to patient's call lights promptly and notify appropriate personnel of patient's needs.
• Record documentation including vitals, input/output, nutritional intake, and other patient care performed.
• Greet, direct, inform, and schedule patients; ensure completion and communication of intake information.
• Ensure work environment and equipment are clean, functional, and orderly.
• Maintain and stock supplies and equipment.
• Assist with quality improvement, safety, and regulatory functions; participate in process changes.
• Assist in training OB Techs, volunteers, students, and hospital staff.
• Adapt to rapidly changing technology as evidence by competency in technology and equipment used in patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
