Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares sterile dressings and cleans instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assists team with terminal cleaning and prep for the next patient.
• Handles surgical specimens with accuracy and responds to emergencies when needed.
• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Obtains scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions.
• Performs counts with circulator prior to incision.
• Gowns and gloved the surgeon and assistants.
• Maintains sterile technique throughout the procedure.
