Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a part-time night shift. You will support surgeons and nurses in the operating room, preparing sterile instruments and maintaining a safe environment.

• Completion of accredited surgical tech training program.
• NBSTA Certification must be obtained within 1 year of program.
• High School Diploma
• CPR certification or able to obtain within 60 days
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months as a nursing assistant and surgical tech with previous OB experience desired

• Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgery
• Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and handle specimens
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts
• Clean OR post-procedure and prepare tools for sterilization
