Job summary

The Ohio Masonic Communities seeks Certified Nursing Assistants at Springfield Masonic Community in Springfield, OH. CNAs will support residents with daily activities and documentation under Ohio state requirements.

Benefits include health insurance, PTO, holidays and education assistance, with a sign‑on bonus of up to $5,000 and a Weekend Warrior $4.00 extra per hour for weekend hours. Full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules are available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Must be State Tested in Ohio or State Test Eligible (within 120 days).
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or to obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents with dignity and respect.
• Assist with grooming, bathing, and hygiene needs.
• Position residents safely and monitor skin care.
• Observe and document resident condition information and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers using proper devices and body mechanics.

Summary:

Certified Nursing Assistants provide for the physical and emotional well-being of residents and document in accordance with Ohio state law and nursing home standards.

• Performs personal care tasks for residents, while providing exceptional customer service
• Personal grooming (hair, shave, nails, mouth, etc.) maintains hearing aids and glasses
• Bathing
• Positioning and proper skin care
• Observes and records resident condition information
• Vital signs
• General resident transfer, using proper assistive devices and body mechanics

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or one to three months related experience.
• Must be State Tested in the state of Ohio or State Test Eligible Nurse Assistant (within 120-day eligibility to work as Certified Nursing Assistant and ability to State Test).
• Must have current certification in CPR/First Aid training or be open to getting it shortly upon hire.
