Job summary

Select Medical in Columbus, OH seeks a Nursing Assistant for full-time day shifts (7am–7pm) with a $18.05–$22.00 hourly pay and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. You will perform patient care, rounds, and transport support in a post-ICU focused hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Nursing assistant certification preferred or active enrollment in RN pathway.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less methods and assisting with hair care.
• Assist with oral hygiene and feeding as needed.
• Participate in hourly rounds and patient transport when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, beds and patient rooms.
• Keep unit stock levels and assist with supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
