Arbors West, part of Arbors of Ohio, is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant to join our caring team. Starting wages range from $22.00 to $29.00 per hour with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for full-time roles. We offer daily, weekly, or bi-weekly pay options through UKG Wallet and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required (STNA/CNA).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Answers signals and assists residents with daily living activities.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists with feeding.
• Assists with ROM and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
• Turns and positions residents in bed and assists with ambulation.
• Takes vital signs and records I&O as directed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Summary

The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) under supervision provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses / Certification

• Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.

Experience

• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Job Functions

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises, and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.
