The Patient Care Assistant II functions as a member of the patient care team, under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), and proficiently and consistently performs all aspects of the PCA role. Responsibilities include supporting the RN with clinical tasks such as blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, dressing changes, aseptic techniques, and responding to medical emergencies using Heartsaver CPR and AED skills. The PCA II also responds to patient and family needs and participates in the efficient operation of the unit, ensuring adherence to the Patient and Family Centered Care Model.
Maintain teamwork in patient care.
Frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching; ability to perform physical tasks and meet core job demands.
Onsite, rotating shifts, part-time, with scheduled weekly hours as per assignment.
