Jobtailor is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting. You will perform daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support care plans under RN supervision.

Qualifications

  • 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred)
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • CNA certification with State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position
  • CNA training and certification provided by facility
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing
  • Maintains 12 hours continuing education annually
  • Maintains all department-specific required certifications
  • Travel to support multiple locations within 75-mile radius of permanent address
  • Minimum of 30 hours per month
  • One weekend shift per month

Responsibilities

  • Serve as caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care
  • Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision
  • Deliver age-appropriate care according to resident care plans
  • Follow infection prevention and control policies and use PPE
  • Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and other personal care
  • Obtain and record vital signs and collect non-invasive specimens
  • Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, walking and ROM exercises
  • Complete food preparation and dining tasks; assist residents with meals, snacks, water and supplements
  • Aid providers and nursing staff with procedures as needed
  • Document resident interactions, care outcomes, behavior, activity and dietary information
  • Communicate changing resident conditions and care concerns to the charge nurse
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services
  • Support wellness and recreational programs and encourage resident participation
  • Participate in departmental or organizational committees and task forces as needed

Job description

  • Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, walking, range-of-motion and passive exercises
  • Complete food preparation and dining tasks; assist residents with meals, snacks, water and supplements
  • Aid providers and nursing staff with procedures as needed
  • Document resident interactions, care outcomes, behavior, activity and dietary information
  • Communicate changing resident conditions and care concerns to the charge nurse
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services
  • Support wellness and recreational programs and encourage resident participation

Requirements
  • 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred)
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
  • CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
  • Maintains a record of continuing education credits; minimum of 12 hours continuing education annually
  • Maintains all department specific required certifications
  • When applicable, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry
  • Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, may require a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver’s license
  • Must be medically qualified to perform essential driving functions when applicable
  • High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
  • Travel required to support multiple locations within 75-mile radius of permanent address
  • Minimum of 30 hours per month
  • One weekend shift per month
