Job summary

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 2nd & 3rd Shift

Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide exceptional person‑centered care to residents. The role focuses on maintaining dignity, quality of life, and supporting residents with daily needs.

Position Summary

Responsible for delivering person‑centered care based on the needs and interests of residents while preserving their dignity and quality of life.

Essential Functions
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, transporting, and transfers.
  • Assist residents with dining, including escorting, transferring, order taking, serving, feeding, meal preparation, and cleanup.
  • Assist with housekeeping services: bed making, trash removal, laundry, room and bathroom cleaning as needed, and resident requests.
  • Lead and assist with life enrichment activities under guidance of Life Enrichment Leaders and Supervisors; activities may include craft/game groups, life skills, daily pleasures, and one‑on‑one interaction.
  • Escort residents to scheduled programming; may participate in outings and/or day trips and encourage daily participation.
  • Take and record vital signs and weights as ordered or required by regulations.
  • Participate in all in‑service training and education programs as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Expected Hours of Work
  • Very active: frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing.
  • Must lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and push up to 250 lbs. independently.
  • Must use proper body mechanics when assisting residents with daily living.
  • Regularly requires long hours and frequent night and weekend work.
Travel

No travel is expected; occasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuing education, emergency situations, and other company functions.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • State Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
  • Two years’ experience in a similar healthcare position preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to use electronic records and miscellaneous software and office equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
