Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking compassionate caregivers in Berkeley to assist residents with daily living activities in a senior living community. You will support mobility, meals, documentation, and discharge procedures while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and prior caregiving experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to follow procedures in a fast-paced facility. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral care, hygiene).
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and transportation.
• Support residents during meals, including set-up and after-meal assistance.
• Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to nurse or supervisor.
• Answer call lights and check on residents regularly.
• Maintain accurate documentation and care-related records.
• Prepare rooms for new residents and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Support a clean, calm, respectful living environment.
• Follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, and resident rights policies.

• Help residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and transportation throughout the community
• Support residents during meals, including set-up, encouragement, and after-meal assistance
• Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition, incidents, injuries, or concerns to the nurse or supervisor
• Answer call lights and check on residents regularly
• Maintain accurate documentation, flow sheets, and care-related records
• Prepare rooms for new residents and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Support a clean, calm, respectful, and positive living environment
• Follow policies related to infection control, safety, confidentiality, resident rights, and abuse reporting
• Use only equipment and care techniques for which trained and authorized
• Collaborate with coworkers and other departments to provide excellent resident care and service
